Join us in the Kal and Lucille Rudman Media Production Center in Annenberg Hall to learn from our newest experts, a panel of returning study abroad participants and scholarship recipients. Our study abroad staff and scholarship advisor will also be on hand to answer your questions.
Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop

Study Abroad Alumni: What Are the Next Steps?
Wednesday 9/17, 4-5:30pm
Recently returned from studying abroad? Come to our alumni gathering to find out how to stay connected and take your international experience to the next level. Get tips from a Career Center counselor about highlighting your study abroad experience on your resume and at job interviews, network with other recently returned study abroad students, and hear success stories from Temple graduates who have studied abroad and are now working in internationally-related careers.
Thursday 9/18, 9am-4:30pm
Thinking about studying abroad? You’re going to need a passport! On Thursday, September 18th, passport agents from the Philadelphia Passport Agency will be on campus from 9am-4:30pm to process passport applications for first time passport applicants. Space is limited and appointments are required.
Vira I. Heinz Scholarship Reception

Are you a female student considering summer study abroad who has never traveled overseas? Are you also interested in leadership skill development and community service? Then the Vira I. Heinz Scholarship and Program for Women in Global Leadership might be for you!
Each year Temple University is granted three scholarships in the amount of $5,000+ from the Vira I. Heinz Foundation. The scholarship must be used toward a summer study abroad program after your sophomore or junior year. If you meet the eligibility requirements below, please plan on attending to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
- U.S. citizen
- Full-time student
- Never been outside of the U.S. before (not even on a vacation), with Canada being the only exception
- 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Interested in studying abroad on a summer program after your sophomore or junior year
