Amari Johnson

Amari Johnson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Africology and African American Studies.  He received his PhD in Anthropology from the University at Texas at Austin.  His work includes maroonage and the development of independent Black educational institutions.  Amari's work has brought him to New Orleans, Ghana, Brazil, and Cuba.
