Pattie McCarthy

Pattie McCarthy is an associate professor (teaching/instruction) in the Department of English; she has been at Temple since 2004. Her areas of specialization include creative writing (poetry, fiction, and hybrid-genre) and twentieth- and twenty-first century poetry and fiction. She regularly teaches Creative Acts, poetry workshops, Modern Poetry, and Contemporary Poetry and has been awarded the First Year Writing Outstanding Instructor Award twice in recent years and is a former Pew Fellow in the Arts. She is the author of seven books of poetry, including wifthing, published this year by Apogee Press.
