Hi, I'm Sam and I'm studying abroad in Samoa during the fall of my junior year. My program (SIT Samoa) focuses on social and environmental change in the pacific islands, so we will be visiting Hawai'i and Fiji as well. I am very passionate about the environment and sustainability and I'm interested to see up close the effects that climate change has on the pacific islands. I love nature and being outside, so I am very excited to be studying in such beautiful places.
Chason Rice is one of the music world's best-kept secrets. With an associate's degree in music, Chason has developed a repertoire of infectious arrangements and production from pop to a sultry neo-soul beat. The vocalist, producer, and instrumentalist have built an impressive array of work for himself and other up-and-coming artists.
Hi, my name is Malaika Stambler, or Mika for short. I'm originally from Los Angeles, am a senior at Tulane University in New Orleans, and I'm currently studying abroad for the fall 2022 term at Temple's campus in Tokyo, Japan. I've been studying Japanese by chance for most of my life, and am so excited to finally have the opportunity to live here for an extended period. I am looking forward to writing about my experiences in Japan as a Jewish, feminist artist, and exploring the very niche Jewish community in Tokyo through written posts and animated collages.

I've had work appear in Cosmonauts Avenue, Penn Review, Kweli Journal, Apiary Magazine, Entropy Magazine, and The Inklette. I serve as the poetry editor for Sonku Magazine and the artistic director for Babel Poetry Collective.

Hi, I’m Breanna! I am rising senior studying abroad in Glasgow and London a part of the Temple University in the UK: British Literature and Culture summer program. I am an English major with a concentration in creative writing, so I cannot wait to dive into British Literature and Culture. I have always loved to write, even if I tend to fall to the creative side of writing, however putting pen to paper, or in this case fingers to keyboard is my favorite hobby. I cannot wait to share my stories and experiences while abroad!
My name is Ji Pan, and I am a rising 2nd year at Temple majoring in biology and minoring in public health. This summer, I will be studying abroad under the Global Good program in Prague, Czech Republic. As a first generation, low-income student from an immigrant background, I had never imagined studying abroad prior to my time at Temple. However, after involving myself in research and student activities throughout my first two semesters, I saw how much potential I and other FGLI students had that goes unnoticed.
Hi, I'm Mick, a Temple Owl who's going to Rome in the summer of 2022! Hi! My name is Adrianna and I'll be studying abroad in Leipzig, Germany this summer! As someone who hopes to become a German teacher, I hope better my language skills and to have experiences that I can share with my future students. I am Mary Wetherbee, a senior studying graphic and interactive design, and I’m in Temple Rome’s summer I program. Previously, I traveled solo to Italy during my gap year to work as an au pair for several Italian families before and during the pandemic, and was fortunately able to come back through Temple Rome’s program in fall 2021. I love crafting, cooking, and can’t wait to try local cuisines and explore new zones of Rome and Italy. I am looking forward to having conversations with locals in Italian and learning more about Italian history.
