Seohyun (Sera) Park (she/her)

This is me near Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Ateneo de Yucatán in Merida, Mexico after watching the traditional Mayan Pok-A-Tok game.

Hi, I'm Sera! I'll be studying abroad in Merida, Mexico during the summer of 2023 as a rising senior at Temple University. As an art history student, I'm excited to explore the art and culture in the beautiful city of Merida. Growing up as a Korean immigrant in the United States, I've always been interested in learning about different cultures and perspectives. This will be my third study abroad experience, after Temple Rome and Temple Japan.

Tonian Williams

Hello! My name is Tonian Williams, and I am a senior architectural design student who studied abroad in Italy in the fall of 2022. I was given the opportunity to live and study in Rome through the assistance of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship which funded most of my expenses. My view of living in another country has been altered by my experience of living in Italy. I was able to travel to many parts of Italy, meet interesting people, and developed my Italian linguistic education.

Hello all, my name is Abraham Paroya and I am studying at Temple Rome for the spring semester. I am a computer engineering major and enjoy learning about topics such as signal processing and machine learning. I decided to do this study abroad program to jump out of my comfort zone and learn more about the people and cultures of the world. Through the lens of a Pakistani-American, I hope my blog posts will offer a different viewpoint of the minority communities living within Rome.

Julia Coble

Julia Coble

I am a current junior at Temple University studying for the semester in Rome. I am currently studying psychology and pursing a minor in nutrition. One of the great things about coming to Rome is the food culture and history and how much it means to the Italian people. Living in a different country is a major adjustment, but it has been extremely fulfilling so far and it's been exciting to be able to deep dive into the culture here and learn more about my own identity while being abroad.

I love nature and being outside, so I am very excited to be studying in such beautiful places.
