Angela Gervasi

Angela Gervasi

Angela, a journalism major from South Philly, studied abroad in Italy the summer after her freshman year. She's always loved writing, and hopes to someday write about and report on public and international relations. Angela studied ballet for eight years of her life and was always enamored with playing guitar and singing. In other words, art is something that she's always really appreciated, which is why she was so excited to live in a city like Rome.

While a student at Temple, Monique was a double major in advertisting (art direction track) and film & media arts (BFA media arts track). The summer after her freshman year, she traveled to her dream location, Tokyo, and studied abroad at TUJ.  In addition to photoblogging for the Study Abroad Office, Monique worked part-time as a writing tutor at TUJ and produced content for a tourist website at an internship. By far the most incredible part of her experience was staying with her host family, eating authentic, homemade Japanese food everyday, and delving into the culture first hand.

My interest in German began because my family is German: my grandmother is Bavarian and she has family members in Germany. I spent five weeks studying abroad through Temple’s Germany program this past summer.
