Hola! I’m Cassandra (or Cassie), and I’ll be studying abroad in Oviedo, Spain for the spring of my junior year. I chose to immerse myself in the Spanish culture to further pursue my passions for language and storytelling. Inspired by Spain’s history and its connection to my Puerto Rican roots, I craved opportunities to build a deeper relationship with myself, my voice, and my own culture. I’m interested to see the influence Spain has on the rest of Latin America and how it translates into architecture, literature, traditions, and even my own Latinx identity.

I'm a sophomore public health major, and I'm very excited to share one of the first health major perspectives as a storyteller while in England! Miles Mack

Miles spent his sophomore fall semester at Temple Rome. He has always wanted to study in Rome to understand more about his roots which are Italian, but also African American and Japanese. That's actually one of the reasons why he chose to study at Temple, because of its two campuses in Rome and Tokyo. He is also passionate about the automotive world and thanks to the amazing internship department at Temple Rome, Miles worked at Mercedes as part of his business internship. He saw this opportunity as a dream come true!

Hi, my name's Anna and I went to Rome to study abroad in the fall! I am joined Temple for my semester abroad but I'm actually a student at Colorado College (I'm completing a double major in Psychology and Art Studio). I was so excited to take several studio art classes in Rome! While I love to paint and sculpt, I also love anything outdoors and anything to do with food. Another reason I was so excited to go to Rome for a semester was to experience Judaism in the city. The history, the traditions, the synagogues and the songs.

Nyah Tinsley (she/her)

This is me standing in front of one of the waterfalls at La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Costa Rica.

I'm Nyah Tinsley and I am studied abroad during the fall semester of my senior year in Heredia, Costa Rica. At Temple, I am majoring in global studies and the Spanish language and have learned a lot about Spanish-speaking cultures. My hope is to continue learning that while I am in Costa Rica and to improve my fluency in Spanish. Writing is a hobby of mine so I am excited to share with you my experiences abroad. Being a biracial African American, I also hope to offer insight on what it can be like being a minority in a different country and can't wait to share what I find out.

Hi! My name is Miquela, and I will be spending my sophomore year studying abroad at the University of Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany. As a passionate German and global studies major, I am more than excited to live and learn in a place where I can further explore the literature, linguistics, and complexities of one of my favorite foreign languages. As someone who studied abroad in both Munich and Austria during high school, I am also curious to see how port and industrial cities like Hamburg differ from their Alpine counterparts.

Rebekah Harding (she/her)

This is a picture of me at the iconic Ewha Campus Complex— taking a picture here is a right of passage for Ewha students.

Hi! I'm Rebekah and I'll be studying abroad at Ewha Woman's University during the fall of my senior year. At Temple, I study journalism and Asian studies and run the independent lifestyle magazine, REFINE magazine, alongside a team of other editorial-loving Temple students. I studied abroad at Yonsei University through a summer external program in 2019 and I couldn't wait to get back to Korea. I hope to provide some useful perspective on what it's like studying abroad during your senior year and how to navigate a double major while abroad.
