Hi, my name is Ivyanna! I studied Spanish and Latin American Studies. In the spring semester of my junior year I studied abroad in Peru, mainly in Cusco. However, I also visited various other cities and attractions in Peru like Machu Picchu, Taquile Island and the Amazon. I was very excited to explore more about indigenous communities, especially the role of indigenous women in climate justice. In addition to my interest in indigenous communities and languages, I am a tree-hugger, proud vegetarian, food enthusiast and lover of animals.

Lisa Giang studied Geography & Urban Studies at Temple University. She spent her fall semester of junior year at Temple's Rome campus. As one of the Culture & Identity Envoys, she wanted to delve beyond the surface level of the city and gain a better understanding of its more marginalized inhabitants. This was her first time out of the United States, so she expected to learn more about herself as she had to navigate challenging and unfamiliar situations. She hoped to continually reflect on her experiences and use them to better understand herself while abroad and at home.
Hi, I'm Carmela Guaglianone and I am a student at Duke University. I studied at the Temple University Rome Campus in the fall, and I took this opportunity to create a more comprehensive understanding of culture and lifestyle in Rome and Italy as a whole. I am Italian-American and this has always been a part of my identity that I have been interested in developing and exploring. I was thrilled to have this time abroad to explore it further and to be afforded the chance to do so through exposure to so many different experiences!

Hi my name is Kailie! I will be studying abroad for the fall semester of my third year in Tokyo at TUJ. I attended Chapman University in Orange, California with a major in finance. However, while I was in Tokyo I wanted to focus on taking classes more geared towards my Japanese minor. I am half Japanese and have grown up surrounded by Japanese culture in my home, but while studying abroad in Tokyo I am looking forward to experiencing the culture in its entirety and in my everyday life!
