Hi, my name is Ivyanna! I studied Spanish and Latin American Studies. In the spring semester of my junior year I studied abroad in Peru, mainly in Cusco. However, I also visited various other cities and attractions in Peru like Machu Picchu, Taquile Island and the Amazon. I was very excited to explore more about indigenous communities, especially the role of indigenous women in climate justice. In addition to my interest in indigenous communities and languages, I am a tree-hugger, proud vegetarian, food enthusiast and lover of animals.

Lisa Giang studied Geography & Urban Studies at Temple University. She spent her fall semester of junior year at Temple's Rome campus. As one of the Culture & Identity Envoys, she wanted to delve beyond the surface level of the city and gain a better understanding of its more marginalized inhabitants. This was her first time out of the United States, so she expected to learn more about herself as she had to navigate challenging and unfamiliar situations. She hoped to continually reflect on her experiences and use them to better understand herself while abroad and at home.

I am Italian-American and this has always been a part of my identity that I have been interested in developing and exploring. I was thrilled to have this time abroad to explore it further and to be afforded the chance to do so through exposure to so many different experiences!
