Africology and African American Studies Department Scholarship for Temple Summer in Ghana

Temple University's Department of Africology and African American Studies has created four $500 scholarship for students accepted to the Temple in Ghana program, beginning with the summer 2019 program. All students with a demonstrated and sustained interest in the department's field, and the program in Ghana should apply, especially those with a major or minor in Africology and African American Studies.

Eligibility Requirements: 

Applicants must be Temple University students admitted to the Temple in Ghana program for summer 2017; be major/minors in Africology African American Studies, or demonstrate sustained interest in the field through an interview; demonstrate considerable financial need; submit an essay (approximately 500 words) that specifically addresses your goals and objectives for participating in the Temple in Ghana program; submit application essay and supporting documents to the Temple in Ghana program director, Dr. Abu Abarry as soon as you receive an email from the Education Abroad office notifying you of your acceptance into the program.
