Syracuse University Abroad
Syracuse University Abroad currently operates eight overseas centers, which are recognized for quality academic programs across professional and liberal arts disciplines, excellent faculty, and superior student services. Each SU center is managed by an academic director and bicultural support staff, and has close ties with local universities, allowing students to design integrated programs appropriate to their academic and language abilities. Other signature features include field study seminars, cultural immersion through homestays, professional internships, and community engagement.

External Study Abroad Approval Process
Students participating with an External Program are required to complete Temple's External Programs approval process. Completion of the approval process allows students to maintain full-time enrollment status, apply eligible financial aid and transfer credits earned abroad back to Temple.
Request to Study Abroad
To request approval to study abroad with Syracuse University, please complete and submit a Request to Study Abroad application. Your request will be reviewed to ensure that the program is an appropriate fit and that you meet the general eligibility requirements for study abroad. Once your request has been processed, you will be informed of the decision via an email to your Temple email account. If your request is approved, you'll be granted access to remaining pre-departure information, materials, and requirements. Requests to study abroad must be received on or before the application deadline.
