
Christine Weiler joined the Education Abroad team in 2022 as assistant director. Christine oversees a consistent and inclusive approach to pre-departure education across the program management team; manages a portfolio of study abroad programs (including the advising, enrollment, support, preparation, and participation of those students); and supports program development in collaboration with the senior associate director.
Prior to this role, Christine held positions as program manager and admissions counselor for study abroad programs in 12 countries. Most recently, she worked at CEA Study Abroad as a senior internship coach, supporting the global internship program and working with internship placements and on-site staff in Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. During her time at CEA, Christine led the creation of a new e-learning curriculum for coaching internship students, along with the implementation of an interviewing software for prospective applicants, and served on the DEI committee. She has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the College of Charleston, studied abroad at Moulay Ismail University in Morocco, and is proficient in Arabic. She has also lived abroad in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Christine is new to the Philly area, having moved from Charleston, South Carolina. In her spare time, Christine enjoys reading, traveling and hiking. She will be pursuing her master’s of counseling psychology with a concentration in mental health through Temple in the Fall of ’23.
