Evan serves as the Coordinator in the Education Abroad office. He is the initial point of contact for the office, providing preliminary advising for students interested in opportunities abroad and supporting the rest of the staff as needed.
Evan grew up in Bucks County and graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Sociology and International Studies. During his junior year, he studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he discovered his passion for traveling and the Spanish language. After graduating, Evan spent two years in Madrid teaching English as a second language in a bilingual primary school. He cherishes each opportunity he's had while abroad and takes comfort in the fact that the connections he made along the way are lifelong.
“Studying abroad taught me that leaving your comfort zone is commendable and exciting. I had never felt more energized than when I managed a simple conversation in Spanish, whether with one of my professors or with a supermarket cashier. The communication skills I gained while studying abroad have followed me into my career today and I’m so thankful for that. I hope that Temple study abroad students will use their communication skills to foster intercultural exchange.”
