As Dean of Temple University Rome, Link oversees all aspects of the study abroad program including faculty hiring and development, curriculum, finance and budget, student life and recruitment, academic integrity, alumni affairs and community engagement. Link holds an MA and PhD in Italian language and literature from Yale University. She completed her BA in art history and Italian at Stanford University, during which time she completed studies at Stanford’s Florence campus. A scholar of Italy, its culture and language, Link is a dynamic leader who combines global vision with extensive administrative experience in international education.
Prior to joining Temple, she spent twelve years at Barnard College where she most recently served as vice provost responsible for curriculum, international programs, academic assessment, and faculty grants. Other positions Link held at Barnard include first-year class dean, dean for study abroad, associate provost and dean for international programs. She also organized the Global Symposia Series – a gathering of high-profile women in business, finance, politics and the arts for conversations on women’s leadership. The annual symposia have been held in Beijing, Dubai, Johannesburg, Mumbai, São Paulo and Shanghai. Link also created Barnard’s Visiting International Students Program (VISP), which brings students from partner universities around the globe to spend a semester studying at Barnard. In 2011 these programs received the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers’ (NAFSA) Senator Paul Simon Spotlight Award for Internationalization.
