    The Recreational Therapy Special Topics course is designed for students studying any major and is designed to emphasize current trends and contemporary topics of interest regarding individuals with varying disabilities and their engagement in recreation and leisure. Topics will vary by semester.

  • Topic: Fieldwork in Social Services for People with Disabilities. This study abroad course is designed to engage students with consumers and users of social services in a range of service settings in and around Belgrade Serbia. Initial course meetings will provide students with an introduction to Serbian language and culture; however, the majority of course meeting time in this program will involve students attending and interacting with service recipients and providers. The program will have at least weekly group check-in meetings to discuss student experiences, reactions and progress on course assignment.
