Hi! My name is Miquela, and I will be spending my sophomore year studying abroad at the University of Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany. As a passionate German and global studies major, I am more than excited to live and learn in a place where I can further explore the literature, linguistics, and complexities of one of my favorite foreign languages. As someone who studied abroad in both Munich and Austria during high school, I am also curious to see how port and industrial cities like Hamburg differ from their Alpine counterparts. While studying abroad for an entire year is completely out of my comfort zone, I am still a firm believer that immersive experiences help us learn to be more open-minded, empathetic, and globally aware individuals. I look forward to this rewarding opportunity and am grateful to share my experiences with you all!
