Favorite memory of your time abroad:

During my six weeks in Rome, a bunch of us would get together for what we called “Tuesday Dinners” where we tried a new restaurant every Tuesday. This had to be one of the things I looked forward to the most! We were a group of 10 or more, and we always shared and tried each other’s foods. I have definitely expanded my food pallet and acquired new favorites due to this experience. My favorite restaurant was "La Zanzara". Tuesday Dinners also brought a piece of home with me, due to it feeling like a family all coming together to have a shared meal.

Ask me about:

Personal identity and being lgbtq+ abroad. Things I wish I knew before studying abroad, how the subway system works, best ways to get around Italy or to travel. I am fluent in Italian and can answer any language questions. I can also talk about WhatsApp, or potential culture differences. What to wear (you'll need long sleeves and pants for churches in Rome!). Planning trips. Food apps (Glovo, TooGoodToGo, Deliveroo) and more!

"Studying abroad gave me the freedom to be myself without fear of what others would think of me. Being abroad for only six weeks made me take advantage of every second I had while in Italy."
