| Hawa (she/her) is a senior international business major from Philly. She studied abroad at Temple Japan's Tokyo campus in Spring 2023. Hawa wanted a new experience away from home and was wrapping up her Japanese coursework, making Japan the right fit for her. Some of her favorite experiences in Japan include finding hidden gems, seeing Phoebe Bridgers live in concert, and creating a tight-knit group of friends from all walks of life. She made lifelong, meaningful connections that truly enriched being in a new country for the first time and helped her grow as a person. She hopes that other students will take the initiative and study abroad to find their own opportunities to grow. On Main Campus, she is on Temple's KPOP cover dance team TU Cherry Bombs as a dancer and creative director; Temple's KPOP club as the social media coordinator; and Temple's Fashion & Business Club as a general board member. |
