Still, a handful of students have managed to study overseas during the pandemic, despite travel restrictions and quarantine requirements. Catalina Barroso Delarosa, a senior at Temple University, was sent home last winter only five days after arriving to study in South Korea as the pandemic began to spread. She crammed in all the activities that she could before her flight — visiting historic sites, shopping, eating out — thinking it might be her only chance at an international experience. (exerpt)
