Livy Nguyen is a senior biology major who broadened her horizons through an exchange program at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea. Her passion for cultural immersion is evident in her travels throughout South Korea—including Suwon and Busan—as well as adventures in Japan and Vietnam. During her time abroad, Livy cherished exploring traditional Hanok villages, discovering Seoul's vibrant café scene, and taking in spectacular city views from Namsan Tower at sunset. The lasting friendships she formed with students from around the world remain among her most treasured takeaways from the experience. On Temple University's Philadelphia campus, Livy serves as President of the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association while volunteering at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. When not engaged in academics or leadership responsibilities, she enjoys exploring Philadelphia with friends, approaching her hometown with the same curiosity that fueled her international adventures. She is passionate about guiding peers interested in international education opportunities, helping them navigate the process and encouraging them to embrace the life-changing perspectives that come from global immersion.
