Our advisors are here to help guide you through the study abroad process. Visit our office during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00) to get started, or follow the instructions below to schedule an appointment with our advising staff.
Study Abroad Peer Advisors
Stop by our office or make an appointment with one of our knowledgeable Peer Advisors. They've been where you are, and some of them have even studied on multiple programs. Peer Advisors can help you explore programs and answer many of your questions about the process to study abroad. They offer a great resource in the initial planning phases and throughout the process as you prepare for your program. You can meet with a Peer Advisor at any point in the process.
In addition to our Peer Advisors, Study Abroad Ambassadors are eager to talk about their time abroad, and would be happy to provide you with a student's perspective on their program, host country, and how to make the most of your experience.
Read our student profiles to identify an Ambassador or Peer Advisor to contact. You can also visit our office Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00 to speak with a Peer Advisor in person or to make an appointment.
Study Abroad School/College and Program Advisors
Once you have...
- attended a Foundations of Study Abroad information session and
- met with your Academic Advisor
we encourage you to make an appointment with the Study Abroad Program Manager in Education Abroad who advises for your school or college to review programs and course offerings and to discuss your plan. Our advisors can help you narrow your options, provide guidance on what scholarships you may be eligible for, review your budget, and help solidify your next steps in planning. It is important to keep in mind that study abroad advisors are not academic advisors and will not know what courses are best suited for your academic needs.
To make the most out of your advising meeting, make sure to bring the following:
- a list of questions you have about any aspect of the study abroad process
- your Study Abroad Guidebook (you will receive this at Foundations)
- the academic plan that you've created with your academic advisor, which includes the courses you will most likely take abroad
To make an appointment, stop by our office at 200 Tuttleman, or call us at 215-204-0720 (toll free at 877-256-6913).
