Education Abroad and Overseas campuses seeks a student graphic designer to work 15-20 hours per week for the 2024-2025 academic year (with the possibility of extending). The designer will update and/or create various designs for print and digital publications to support education abroad promotional campaigns, informational materials and events. This includes materials such as flyers, brochures, and signage, as well as the preparation of graphics for the website or email and social media campaigns.
Education Abroad fosters an inclusive work environment and is committed to increasing diversity and enhancing inclusion practices in study abroad. Our graphic designer plays a crucial role in helping to foster that mission. We are especially interested in candidates who have an interest in promoting and encouraging diversity and inclusion in educational environments, e.g. socio-economic diversity tied to education (first generation or high financial need), racial or ethnic diversity, national origin and immigrant rights, LGBTQIA+ initiatives, and/or disability rights advocacy. We seek a diverse pool of applicants and encourage those from historically marginalized populations to apply.
This position is an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring graphic designer to gain real, hands-on experience in a busy office. The right candidate will possess an excellent eye for design, creativity, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work on a deadline. This selected candidate will be expected to learn and adhere to the branding guidelines of Temple University and Education Abroad and will report to the associate director for outreach and academics.
Interested and qualified candidates should submit a resume, portfolio samples (about 10) demonstrating a variety of work in different formats, and at least two references (these may be professors who know your work well or previous employers or internship supervisors).

Selected Graphic Designer should expect to work in the Education Abroad office throughout the academic year and possibly the following summer. The ideal candidate will be available to begin working in summer 2024. The pay rate is $10 per hour.
Note: all full-time Temple students have access to Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite. When working in the office, students have access to Education Abroad computers and internet, as well as a workspace.
