Muhammad Shakeeb Sharif is a PhD student in Clinical and Translational Oncology at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale, University of Naples Federico II, Italy. He is currently conducting his research at the University of Siena in the laboratory of Dr. Antonio Giordano, focusing on innovative therapeutic strategies for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

His work centers on CDKN2A-deleted lung cancer models and the development of microbubble-encapsulated siRNA delivery systems as a targeted gene therapy approach. By integrating molecular oncology, nanotechnology, and ultrasound-mediated drug delivery, his research aims to improve treatment outcomes in genetically defined lung cancer subtypes.

In addition to his research, he contributes to academic activities by co-supervising Master’s students and supporting their training in molecular biology and experimental design.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Biotechnology in 2022 from the Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Pakistan, where he worked on green-synthesized nanoparticles and their biomedical applications.

His research interests include targeted cancer therapies, gene-silencing technologies, tumor suppressor biology, and precision medicine in thoracic oncology.
