Description
The Robert J. Mason Endowed Scholarship Fund for Education Abroad aims to provide financial assistance to students with financial need who are studying abroad on any Temple University program, with preference given to students studying at Temple Rome or Temple Japan.
Robert J. Mason, professor in the Department of Geography and Urban Studies, was passionate about international education and was a strong supporter of education abroad opportunities. In addition to teaching at Temple University, he also spent several years teaching at Temple University's Japan Campus and also taught at Temple University Rome in 2016.
Students who apply for a Temple University Education Abroad program scholarship will automatically be considered for this award. These include the Temple student scholarships for Exchange Programs, Japan Semester, Rome Semester, Spain Semester, and Summer.
Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time, Temple undergraduate students
- Studying abroad on any Temple University program, with preference given to students planning to study at Temple Rome or Temple Japan
- Demonstrate financial need
Deadline
Aligned with the scholarship deadlines indicated for Temple University Education Abroad scholarships: April 1 for fall/academic year programs; October 1 for spring programs; February 1 for summer programs.
