Temple Summer in Morocco

The Global Good Program

Learn about the rich traditions, history, and diversity of Morocco through the Global Good program, a four-week study abroad experience that combines academic exploration with cultural immersion.

In Intellectual Heritage II: The Common Good, a small seminar-based course, you’ll read and discuss influential works of philosophy, literature, and social thought — engaging with ideas about community, ethics, and human connection. In Morocco, classroom learning is complemented by frequent field trips to sites of both ancient and modern cultural significance, bringing the course themes to life.

The program is based in Rabat, where you’ll live in a homestay, participate in cultural workshops, and explore the city through guided tours of sites including Oudaias Kasbah, Hassan Tower, Royal Palace, Mellah and Medina, and Chellah Necropolis. You’ll also explore other regions through travel to Fes, Casablanca, and Marrakesh, experiencing Morocco’s vibrant cultural mosaic — from the Volubilis ruins and Hassan II Mosque to the Atlas Mountains and the Erg Chebbi dunes.
