Ambassadors

Study Abroad Ambassadors are student volunteers who are passionate about sharing their study abroad experiences and encouraging other students to start their own journey abroad. Ambassadors help promote Temple's overseas campuses and other Education Abroad programs across campus by connecting with students who are exploring programs and encouraging them to consider studying abroad.

This role provides an opportunity to continue reflecting on your own experience abroad while developing communication, leadership, and presentation skills alongside other globally minded students.

Ambassadors can expect to:

  • Share their study abroad experiences with students considering programs

  • Act as a peer resource for students exploring or preparing to study abroad

  • Support outreach efforts such as information sessions, fairs, and special events

  • Submit a brief reflection project highlighting what made studying abroad meaningful to you and why it matters. This may include compiling photos or content created while abroad, writing a short reflection, or participating in an interview with a Peer Advisor.

Student Advisory Committee

The Education Abroad Student Advisory Committee supports Education Abroad’s Mission, Vision, and Values by providing student perspectives, ideas, and feedback on programs, services, and outreach. Committee members work together to recommend ways to strengthen and expand global opportunities for Temple students.

This committee serves as a formal student body that collaborates with Education Abroad staff to improve and grow Temple’s study abroad offerings. Students do not need to have studied abroad to apply. We welcome students who have studied abroad, plan to study abroad, or who are simply interested in global education and want to help shape these opportunities for the Temple community.

Student Advisory Committee members can expect to:

  • Provide feedback and recommendations on Education Abroad programs, services, and initiatives

  • Collaborate with other students to brainstorm ideas that improve global opportunities at Temple

  • Attend three meetings per semester and commit to participating for one academic year

  • Complete a brief end-of-semester wrap-up activity

The committee includes undergraduate students from across Temple’s schools and colleges who represent a wide range of majors, class years, interests, and perspectives.

All students interested in making an impact on Education Abroad are encouraged to apply.

Applications open in March for the following academic year.
