Emma Cooper is the Enrollment Coordinator at the Education Abroad & Overseas Campuses. She manages student data for study abroad admissions with the program management team, cultivating connections with applicants to increase retention and yield. Whether it is ensuring students have completed pre-departure forms or have submitted their academic course plan, Emma ensures students are well-prepared to enter their study abroad experiences with confidence.
As an undergraduate, Emma received her BA in Spanish at Monmouth University. She studied in Florence, Italy for a semester, and acted as a TA in the Spanish classroom in Winchcombe, England for a shorter-term abroad experience. Emma found her passion for international education working as a mentor at Monmouth's global education office as she helped other students prepare to embark on their international study journeys.
Soon after graduating, she decided to continue her studies —she received her MA in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in 2025. Here, she learned about the ins and outs of managing international education, ranging from social justice to program design and assessment. In Fall 2025, Emma completed her practicum project in Madrid with the Middlebury School in Spain and designed a conflict transformation and sustainability-themed excursion to La Doñana park for her final practicum project.
In her free time, you can find Emma experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, lifting at the gym, enjoying a long walk in nature, or designing watercolor cards for her loved ones. She loves to travel, whether it's backpacking around Europe or taking a cross-country trip to the West Coast.
