Liz Mason is a program manager for the office of Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses. She works closely with the program management team to advise students, process application and visa materials, and ensure student health and safety throughout the study abroad process. With a background in language teaching and student success, she is experienced in supporting students across K-12, Higher Education, and in international contexts. Her career has taken her from teaching Spanish in the U.S. and Guatemala to English as a foreign language in Spain. Over the past decade, she has returned to Spain many times, including trips to walk and lead a program for university students on the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain.
As an undergraduate Spanish student, Liz studied abroad in Seville (Spain) for a semester and in Costa Rica and Ecuador for summer programs. To complete her M.Ed. in Spanish Education from the University at Buffalo, she returned to San José (Costa Rica) for a Summer Institute for Teachers of Spanish. She looks forward to supporting students as they navigate study abroad opportunities and embark on their own international journeys.
