Passport Day

Fall 2026 Passport Day 

Event Date: Friday, September 25th  
Time: 9:45 am – 2:30 pm 
Location: 200 Tuttleman Learning Center 

Are you interested in a Global Seminar or study abroad, but need a passport? This fall, you can apply for your passport right on campus and be eligible to receive the Passport Reimbursement Scholarship!

1️⃣Step 1: Gather your passport application materials

Gather all necessary application materials listed below:

  • Completed passport application
  • Two passport photos
    • You can also have passport photos taken by Education Abroad at your review appointment (see "Register for a Review Session" section).
  • Payment
    • $165
    • If you plan to pay for expedited service to receive your passport sooner, please budget an additional $60 for this service (expedite fee is not reimbursed by the Passport Scholarship)
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
    • You will need to bring your original birth certificate or other evidence of citizenship from home.
  • Physical, photo identification

2️⃣Step 2: Register for a passport application review appointment

Register online for a required Passport Application Review appointment. Attendance is required to be eligible for Passport Day and Passport Reimbursement Scholarship.

During this appointment, you'll meet with a Temple staff member who will conduct a pre-review of your application materials to ensure you have everything in order before Passport Day.

You'll also be able to have your passport photos taken during this time (for free!).

3️⃣Step 3: Receive your Passport Day appointment link

Once you have attended a passport review session, we will send you a link to register for a 15 minute timeslot on Passport Day, Friday September 25th.

4️⃣ Step 4: Attend Passport Day!

On Passport Day, you'll meet with an official Passport Agent who will review and accept your application materials.

Routine processing currently takes 4-6 weeks according to the State Department. Your passport will be sent to you via mail. Check their website for the most up-to-date processing times.  

5️⃣ Step 5: Submit your Passport Reimbursement Scholarship form

In order to be reimbursed for your passport application fee, you must submit your receipt and form for the Passport Reimbursement Scholarship

Please note: The Passport Reimbursement Scholarship reimburses the processing application amount of $165. We do NOT reimburse the expedited service fee.

Passport Reimbursement Scholarship 

  • The Passport Reimbursement Scholarship is typically limited to first-year and transfer students. As a special offer, any undergraduate who attends Passport Day in Fall 2026 will be eligible to receive the Passport Reimbursement Scholarship. 

  • The Education Abroad office provides reimbursements for United States Passport applications, up to $165 

Passport Renewals

If you need to renew your existing passport, you are welcome to register for Passport Day, with one caveat - if you are eligible to renew your passport online, we encourage you to do so. This allows our office to prioritize in-person appointments for those who need it most.
