Hi, I'm Gloria! I'm from Hangzhou, China, and I'll be studying abroad in Rome during the spring of my junior year. I've previously volunteered for a summer in Khasab, Oman, researched for a summer in Shanghai, and visited Paris, London, Singapore, Bangkok, and Kyoto. I love traveling and meeting people from different cultures. At my home institution in the States, I am highly involved in the queer community, human rights activism, and theater/film. I hope to get involved in similar communities in Rome. I'm especially interested in continuing to volunteer, learning about immigrant communities in Rome as an immigrant myself, and exploring what the queer activism looks like in Europe having experienced it in my home country and America. I'm super excited to bring my past experiences to my role as an envoy and share what happens along the way. Do all roads actually lead to Rome? Guess we'll find out...
