| Kyla (she/her) is a sociology major with a double minor in African American studies/Africology and Japanese from a small town in Maryland. In Fall 2023, she studied abroad at Temple Japan's Tokyo Campus. Additionally, she worked an internship abroad in Dublin, Ireland in Summer 2024. She is a member of Esencia Latina, Temple's only Latinx dance club. Kyla's variety of passions in art and the humanities drives her ambition to explore cultures and societies across the globe. Travel has expanded her worldview while simultaneously amalgamating her understanding of humanity. Around the world, people's lives are both different and similar in ways that one may never expect. She found that studying abroad encouraged her growth, confidence, intelligence, and empathy, which are all invaluable skills that are valuable in any industry. |
