The Culture and Identity Envoy Program was founded in 2017 by Temple Rome student Ewan Johnson, who adapted ideas from his experience as a Diversity Abroad Ambassador to create a program focused on identity, belonging, and community in Rome.
Envoys participate in cultural events specifically curated to deepen their understanding of underrepresented communities. Through these experiences, they reflect on identity, belonging, and community while creating projects that help future students better understand student life and study abroad in Rome.

This experience was exactly what I needed as I am starting my semester abroad. To be able to connect with the locals and learn a little more about Italian culture made me feel grounded for the next adventures ahead.
