Boyer College of Music and Dance

There are several ways to choose a study abroad program, including by location, term, or type of experience. One way many students want to get started is by understanding which programs offer courses for their major. This page highlights programs especially suited to students in your school or college and can be used as a great starting point in your search.

Be sure to meet with your academic advisor as early as possible to map out which degree requirements you can plan to take abroad. Many programs include GenEd courses, minor requirements, or can help fulfill electives. If you don’t plan to take any major courses while abroad, explore the programs pages on our website to learn more about all the options.

Temple University Rome

Though Temple University Rome does not typically offer major courses for Boyer students during the fall and spring, music students who study abroad during the semester may be able to take advantage of private lessons, ensemble opportunities and/or credit internships while fulfilling other degree requirements. Interested students should contact the well ahead of the application deadline to discuss feasibility.

Rome Dance Intensive (summer)

This intensive program at Temple Rome is designed for students to explore dance technique, performance, and choreography. Program participants will receive credit for Dance 2868 and Dance 3812. Dance 3812 is crosslisted with Dance 3882 (Independent Study) for students who have already completed Dance 3812.
