| Tyler (she/her) is a junior Spanish major and global studies minor. She participated in the Spring 2023 Latin American Studies Semester program in Merida, Mexico for two weeks and spent the spring semester of 2024 in Oviedo, Spain with Temple in Spain. Tyler chose these locations to improve her Spanish fluency, but she fell in love with the laid-back culture in both countries. Her favorite parts of Mexico were going to the beach after class every day and her amazing host family. In Spain, she enjoyed hiking on the weekends and becoming friends with Alfonso, the man who owned the coffee shop next to her school that she visited every day. Tyler believes that time spent abroad will teach a student more than they can ever learn in the classroom, especially because getting outside of your comfort zone for an extended period of time is an invaluable experience. On campus, Tyler is a Temple Honors peer instructor and a member of Singchronize acapella group. |
